WHO – The World Health Organization defines probiotics as organisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a beneficial effect on the health of the host. The probiotic cultures we use are tested and safe friendly bacteria that naturally inhabit the human digestive tract. Generally, probiotics are understood as substances that positively influence the development of the intestinal microbiota. Scientific research shows that the genus Bifidobacterium is involved in the regulation of the immune system and a number of metabolic processes. It can have anti-inflammatory effects and improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. The presence of bifidobacteria decreases with age, it is in our interest to supply these bacteria to the body. Prebiotics support friendly intestinal bacteria. They help in all parts of the intestine, both in the small and large intestine. In the large intestine, they also increase the production of butyrate. Butyrate is a very beneficial substance for our body. It also serves as a source of energy for the cells of the intestinal mucosa, thereby helping to restore its integrity. The ratio of Fructooligosaccharides and inulin fiber in the product has a strong positive effect on immunity and the intestinal microbiome. Inulin is a low-calorie fiber from chicory root, which contributes to proper digestion and is a favorite food for friendly bacteria in the intestine.
